Ok, Ok...

Just to give a little background as to why I decided to set some religious goals and actually achieve them.

I went to the temple the other day to do initiatory work and was reading in the old testament where I assumed I had left off at home (which by the way I only have 160 pages left of the OT- not bad after working on this goals for 6 years :)), I happened on the scripture Jeremiah 31:22...which basically felt like the Lord was reprimanding me for being such a slacker...lol....go ahead and read and you will see why...especially since I use my husband or other things in my life as excuses to not do those things which are good for me....so there you have it the reason I have decided to buckle down and achieve some things. I have finished Jeremiah in the OT since then and will start reading Lamentations tomorrow.

Some other scriptures right in that same area were pretty good too...not as personal but went straight with the lesson in church on Sunday: Jeremiah 31:20 which basically states that we are all God's children and he loves us all no matter our sins; as well as Jeremiah 31:21, which should be coupled with the 31:22 one actually, about setting the highest of goals and working on achieving them....these are only my interpretations of what I read...but I would love to know your thoughts on these scriptures...feel free to comment on them.

On a completely different tangent....I was reading in my journal the other day and happened on an entry from about a year ago from when I went to see the allergenist and just thought it was funny that the doctor told me to never ever live in Dallas Texas and to never own a cat (apparently I am really allergic to some plants in Dallas and also severely allergic to cats). The reason I had this on my mind is that I am currently living with my mom....and she has a cat...lol...so I have not been home much for that and other reasons (work...don't want to get stuck babysitting), but I have noticed the cat and dust off an on...swollen and incredibly itchy eyes are the major symptoms I have experienced but not too bad....I could be broken out all over in hives....and they not go away for a month which has happened before...and I still do not know why...lol...sorry for being so random....well anywho...I am going to edit the previous post because this is just as much of a journal as it is a blog to me...

Oh...one more thing....I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a phone the other day....it is a blackberry 9700.....it has microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, memory storage, internet, music storage and listening ability...etc....but the real reason I got it is: #1- Andy refused to let me get the free upgrade from one nokia to another ( I actually went to t-mobile to get head phones I could talk on without my hands-not blue tooth but they didn't make any for my phone anymore- so I was going to upgrade since I never did that anyway), according to Andy I need to dress to impress, and apparently a phone is part of the package (according to him). I was very apprehensive about this since I have always had nokia's (for the most part)and I find phones to be incredibly frustrating...but so far I have had no problems with this phone
#2-it is GPS- enough said....I get lost all the time....now I am found (lol)

I had to look up that verse when you posted it-"How long will you waver, O faithless daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth: a woman encircles a man." I think that is the English translation, but in the NKJV and the KJV it says "backslidden" instead of "faithless." I think it might be more referring to her pulling away from the Lord rather than just being lazy. And I also looked up a reference about the woman encircling a man and it said it was referring to the the virgin Mary carrying Jesus in her womb. I'll have to research that more, though. So, basically, I think the verse is saying how long will she be apart from Christ because He is coming soon. I'll have to research it more, though. But isn't it great how the Lord can speak to us in different ways with just one verse?
