What I do when I have a day off....

1. Go to Bikram yoga and sweat my brains out
2. Get groceries
3. Bake
4. Cook
5. Go to dance for 3.5 hours

Things I made today:

A.Beef stroganoff ( I just took some random box of hamburger helper and used leftover steak, hot dogs and ground turkey).

I added 1/4 cup chia seeds
I added 1/4 cup chocolate covered candied sunflower seeds I got at a health food store
I added 1 cup dark chocolate m & m look alike I got from a health food store

Things are looking up.

So last night was a blast at dance. I tried silks for the first time and they thought I had been there before because I climbed up the silks like I had been there multiple times apparently...that made me feel good about myself :D Apparently climbing is my thing :D

Things I have noticed lately:

-my complexion has cleared up- less acne

-I am looking more toned (I can see it- my husband and my coworkers have noticed too)

-I am never hungry

-I feel happier even though I still hate my job

-When I crave something it is usually healthy

I do not know whether to attribute these things to decreased carb intake, or the introduction of cinnamon pills (2000 mg per day), or my stress load possibly decreasing, or just the fact that I am happy due to dance

But I don't care...my self image is getting better too....I have to wear skin tight clothing and short shorts to dance to be able to do a lot of the stuff and I am getting to the point to where I can accept what I see in the mirror and not feel stressed about it.

I have just started implementing Vitamin C...this is supposed to help your body regulate stress hormones....In order to do this though you have to take between 5000-8000 mg per day....but you have to start small first...yesterday I took 1000 mg...today is 2000 mg...and so on and so forth....

I gave up on lemon water the day I found black mold in my water bottle....ewww....Anyways...I will keep you posted...but so far I highly recommend cinnamon.

Goal update and rewards!

I weighed in and took my measurements today:

Overall results from the beginning of January

weight: down 6.4 lbs
upper waist: down 3.7 inches
bust: down 1 inch
right and left arm down: 0.5 inches each
right and left thigh: down 1.5 inches each
right and left calf: down 0.5 inches each
lower hip down: 1.5 inches
neck: down 0.4 inches
pant size: somewhere between a 6 and an 8

Total inches lost: 11.6 inches

This last week I lost 1.8 lbs...what a difference just eating protein and vegetables makes....I am not hungry....and in fact I get sick of eating....I can't really think of any cravings either....I have not cheated at all because my perspective is optimistic and I have been playing with changing up my meals...I have almost accidentally eaten carbs just out of habit a couple times...but not because I wanted it....

To reward myself for the last 2 months:

-I changed my hair
-I bought 2 new pairs of pants and a pair of leggings/tights
-I bought 3 new tops

-Month one I had bought 2 new tops and a super sexy dress

Anyways....

Here is a pic of my new hair with makeup:

Here is a picture of me in 1 of my new pairs of pants and 1 of new tops from month 1:

I made it through my workout...breakfast, and snack...and then I had to present at my work meeting...and the meeting was not good...and so then I was all upset and my boss felt bad and took me to lunch very instantly which if you know me regardless of whether I am trying to lose weight I hate going out to eat....I stuck to my plan and got vegetarian chicken and broccoli and then I had no appetite the rest of the day so I didn't eat anything until I got home at 9:45 pm while I was packing my snack for today and making my tea...I had 0.5 oz of nuts a bite of a turkey burger and tasted the new peanut butter I got ( the machine that makes the fresh ground peanut butter is broken- sad day...so I am trying peanut butter that has flax seed and omega-3 in it- it is also lower calorie than normal pb). Can I just say I hate my job right now?! I am working my ass off and nothing works... I put in 12 hours yesterday and have nothing but bad data to show for it. Hopefully I will get some good news today.

Also I watched a video yesterday that sums up pretty much everything Sarah C. has been saying...go here to watch it...the first part is real good and then it goes into trying to sell you their product...but it sums up everything very nicely....

Here is the jist:

Sugar= bad for losing weight

Bad carbs for losing weight:
-whole wheat bread
-whole wheat pasta
-most cereals
-crackers
-orange juice

Good carbs for losing weight:
-sprouted grains:rice, spelt, millet, quinoa
-sweet potato (it has me craving this with butter and cinnamon now)
-fruit and veggies

Good fat vs. bad fat
-it is impossible to lose fat without eating fat
-eat good fat- burn fat

Bad fat:
-hydrogenated oils
-canola, vegetable oils
-margarine
-substitute butter

(add sugar typically)

Good fat:
-butter
-eggs
-coconut and olive oil
-avocados
-raw nuts

ELIMINATE
-processed foods
-bad because of sugar and added chemicals
-artificial sweeteners
-high fructose corn syrup
-hydrogenated oils
-processed soy products

1 ingredient foods = best food choices for fat loss

Calories:
-Calorie resitriction= starvation mode
-actually don't need to count calories if eating the right foods for fat loss

It is good to know your metabolism type....

I went on the internet and did some searching and you can probably figure out your metabolism on the internet....turns out for me to lose fat it is best for me to avoid breads and things like that and just stick to protein and non starchy fruit and vegetables....

***Also...I made have had a major break through at work...I will keep you posted...i will know by thursday if it worked....

This weekend....

I made:

Monkey bread ( not bad...not as good as the real deal, but tasty nonetheless)

Applesauce Oat muffins (minus all the added fruit...Andy would gag if I put it in...literally)

Seitan (it smells yummy...now it just needs to be cooked for reals)

New plans...

I have gained 6 lbs in the last month...I am blaming stress, and emotional eating....but I am not freaking out...Why? Because I have a new plan....I did some research on Insulin resistant problems and I may be eating too much (I know I am eating too much). So I am doing Southbeach...I started phase 1 today...I am not allowed sugar at all....which will be good...hopefully I can stick to this and not let my stress take over....btw...Southbeach is basically the same as the P90X diet plan...minus phase 1 of course....In P90x you gradually add in carbs and so does Southbeach so I am following that...Also The diet plan of 40:40:20 is great for people with my problems...so that will be my end diet goal.....I also planned my next three months of working out and I am so excited...I decided to go with a combo between month 1 and 2 of insanity with P90X so I am not doing overkill...this falls under the P90X doubles program if anyone is familiar with it...except I am replacing P90X's cardio workout with insanity.....( I will post that later). I am currently taking cinnamon supplements, adding lemon to my water, and upping my B and C vitamin intake...I highly recommend the B-stress vitamin supplement if you feel like you are lacking in energy...(but do not take these all the time...maybe go on for a month and then off...you do not want your body to become dependent on supplements)..another thing...I am taking small doses of caffeine in the morning and afternoon on an empty stomach. As much as I dislike caffeine and know the problems it can cause sometimes it is needed. My sister and I both struggle with similar problems. She went to see a doctor and they straight up told her to start drinking coffee or something with caffeine because her metabolism was so bad. The result...she now weighs only 10 lbs more than me...maybe less now...and she is 7 inches taller than me. This was of course coupled with a very healthy (vegan) lifestyle and exercise...and she lost this weight over 9 months so not fast....she went from 220 lbs to 153-ish...was down to 149 but went up a little and is probably back down again....anyways....I am giving it a go...I desperately need some energy....another thing.....Has anyone heard of the term "effective carbohydrates"? I totally forgot about it myself until I was looking up insulin problems the other day.... What this means is when you look at the nutrition facts you look at the carbs and the fiber. If you eat something that has 22 g of carbs but also has 13 g of fiber than you are actually only consuming 9 g of carbs (beans are like this). The reason for this is because fiber does not get broken down in the body. It is the equivalent of eating bark...what it does do is help you be regular and expel waste from your body....so there you go...that might help us in getting our 40:40:20 a little better right? It explains why the menu given by insanity seems off on those ratio's as well....whole grains and such are packed with carbs...but also fiber which just gets expelled without getting broken down...Awesome right?!

I just realized how healthy beans are...so I made a huge pot of them fresh (no canned stuff for me) on Saturday.

Also I can't believe this is my last week of month 2...and then on to recovery week...So I will be off phase 1 by the time I start weight training (weight training is also supposed to boost metabolism fyi).

Goal for the evening is to fry up some Tempeh for later use....and to cook up the Seitan I made on Saturday...assuming I get home at a decent hour

Random....I will be going dark brown in the hair department this weekend...keep your eyes peeled for new hair updates....

Also I am so excited! I bought a 5 time pass for pole dancing for only $25.00 this weekend and I have a year to use it!!! And it is located very near to my house!

Procrastinating much?

Yes. I have been procrastinating updating....mainly because I am working 10-12 hours a day and 7 days a week...I am thoroughly exhausted....I have been doing a little bit of research and I think I may be insulin resistant...I have been diagnosed with borderline type 2 diabetes before....and so I can only assume that every time I gain weight it is because I am consuming too much sugar and refined carbs in my diet....now I have not been doing that much lately...however...it looks like I might want to up my protein intake and decrease my carbs....I am going to start South beach I think on Monday...I eat only protein and veggies for 2 weeks...hopefully this will jump start things...as I have only been gaining weight during month 2 of insanity....I am thinking I will couple this with cinnamon tablets (helps counter insulin resistance) and lemon juice (cleans the body and out and helps with a variety of things) in my water as well as a little caffeine (increases metabolism) to get my metabolism going.....sigh....why do I always have to gain my weight back....my goal is to consume no less than 1500 cals a day...which if you know me I usually eat 1200 cals a day to lose weight....and then I never increase my calories.....Anyways....I have been cooked a bunch more of the recipes in my goal list...

Fruit yogurt and granola parfait
/ apple pie parfait

(it really is super tasty!)

Lightened up Broccoli and cheese soup

(not bad...def low sodium...btw I always use veggie broth when broth is used....my soup wasn't homogenous either)

Curry Coconut chickpea soup

What a weekend.

It has been a very productive weekend I must say.

Yesterday:

Got up- tidied and worked out....made grocery list and weekend to-do list....went to work for 4.5 hours and then grocery shopping....got home and started making stuffs (Squeaky clean Brownies (super fudgy and tasty- remind me of a cliff bar...and only 100 cals a piece- heck yes! I think I might add oats and mini choco chips next time to give it more texture), Vegan Mousse (This tasted way bitter the evening I made it, but the next day it was a lot better...letting it sit overnight is highly recommended), Rainbow jello (basically just layers of different flavors of jello- I have all this jello I need to use...make sure each layer is completely settled before adding another layer)).....went and hung out with my favorite person :) Kimmie. Got home at 3am...went to bed around 4 or 5 probably.

Today:

Woke up at 9am. Weighed in and took measurements...disappointed about weight but happy about measurements....Made Protein Waffles (make sure waffle iron is greased or you will lose your waffles....these are super tasty...I also used 1 packet of apple cinnamon oatmeal because I was just short of the required amount of oatmeal....I may try this with silken tofu as that is a good replacement for cottage cheese), English muffins, Sandwich thins, Tortillas (I got 25 out of this...I have decided that anyone who makes tortillas on a regular basis doesn't need to work out...holy cow.)(all whole wheat of course), yogurt, 7 ingredient chili ( I added some jalapeno slices), and jalapeno cheddar corn bread ( I personally used a corn bread mix and just added 1 jalapeno and 1/3 cup cheddar cheese). Packed lunches. Did 2 loads of dishes and 2 loads of laundry. Updated iPod..and completed all of this before 4 pm.

I am changing my diet up....I will now be doing breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and then having a protein shake for dinner because my evenings are so busy and I don't want to be eating dinner at 9pm. Hence all the preparation I did this weekend....

Goal update!

I have lost 10.2 lbs this month! Yay! only 18.2 to go!

Body fat percentage update:

Your body fat percentage is estimated to be 29.93 % using the U.S. Navy body fat formula, or 23.99 % using the formula developed by the YMCA.

Neither method is as accurate as a water displacement test, but is usually within 1-3% for most people. If you have a very small waist, it will show a low value. On the other hand, if you carry all your extra weight around your middle, you may have an elevated percentage. Please note that having this extra weight in the middle is a high risk factor for heart disease and stroke. The waist to hip ratio calculator can give you more information.

The average body fat percentage for U.S. females is around 32%, with the ideal at 22%. Athletic females should be around 15-20%. You could have an eating disorder if you are below 10%. Remember these are guidelines; your physician should help you determine the ideal weight and body fat for you.

My goal is to be 20% body fat.

I finished month 1 of insanity again....and am entering recovery week...and then it is on to month 2...:( I don't like month two...I am also going to start weight training with the hubby...and I would like to try to go to pole dance once a week or once every two weeks...I am also continuing to teach workout classes at work and just started taking tango...and for the last 3 weeks I have been going out dancing with my hubby..so hopefully that will continue as well.

Tuesday: Steamed Green Beans with Fried Tempeh
Wednesday: Steamed mixed veggies with Sauteed Seitan

New year new goals.

Sort of.

I lost weight last year....but didn't keep it off because of too many get togethers, stress, a cruise, and the holidays....they ruined me...so I ended up gaining a lot back back but kept off 10-20 lbs...sigh....My goal for this year is to lose weight and keep it off....I am thinking going vegetarian....I have done this before...I went off because I went vegan and then anorexic...so I won't be repeating the vegan part, but vegetarian would be good for me, and I would eat meat occasionally...I can't eat eggs and don't really like dairy and am slightly lactose intolerant....so all I have to do is come up with meat replacements and I am good to go....Right now I am juicing for 40 days...I am on day 3....My sister is doing it with me...after my 40 days I will have a 5 day come off where I incorporate solids on day 3....Then I will start my new eating plan...I am thinking of planning meals either a week or a month in advance so that I can save time and money and so I will have more of a variety of things to choose from and not get stuck in ruts...There are so many options and I am excited to try it out....I thought about going raw for a moment...but really enjoy eating warm meals....I couldn't eat soo many things I like and that would make me unhappy....i might post my weekly meals....I might include recipes as well...we shall see...i am kind of excited about this!

An interesting yet tasty treat.

I have been trying out all these healthy recipes I have been hoarding...

Last night I made this with this in it....

It sounds weird but it actually is pretty dang good...I of course changed it a little...I didn't add the espresso and I used 3 tbsp brown sugar and 15-20 drops of vanilla stevia instead of white sugar and I also added all of my marshmellows...it turned out really fudge like and yummy...

I made 16 servings instead of 12

Really Cool Article that explains soooo much!!!

Here is the original article...

Or here it is:

The Final Nail in the Cardio Coffin
Rachel Cosgrove
Printer-Friendly Format

This article is from www.figureathlete.com.

Feeling soft around the midsection? Can't see your abs anymore? Feel the need to get lean in a hurry?

Slacking off on your diet and workouts can do that to you. In my case, training for an Ironman triathlon can do that, too.

What? Yeah, you heard me right. This is exactly how I felt after training for and completing in my first Ironman.

My body was soft, with no definition, and had definitely changed due to spending the majority of my training in the steady-state aerobic zone — the same "fat burning zone" many books and magazine still talk about.

I was in great shape as far as my endurance and cardiovascular system were concerned, but I had less noticeable muscle tone and didn't have the definition I was used to having in my abs and arms.

Put it this way: I didn't even want to wear a crop top at my race because I didn't have abs, to show. In fact, I felt like I had rolls for the first time ever! My body had started to look like that of a flabby endurance athlete.

I'd lost some muscle and looked soft and flabby, but I was still happy with my performance and thrilled that I accomplished my goal.
running

No crop top, 'cause there's nothing to show off.

All of my training was done to get ready to complete an Ironman, and all of my nutrition was eaten to fuel me for the workouts. At the time, my goal wasn't to lose fat, but I was still amazed at how little fat I lost.

I worked my way up to doing twenty hours of endurance training a week. I also kept track of every calorie I ate; making sure my nutrition was right on track. I thought I'd be able to eat whatever I wanted, but I couldn't. I had to watch myself to keep from gaining any weight, and I still maintained about 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day.

Some of the workouts included eight or nine-hour sessions where I'd go for a 10-mile run, then jump on my bike for a 70-mile ride, and finish with another 4-mile run. I also continued to lift weights twice a week, in an effort to maintain some muscle tone, but also to stay injury-free and somewhat strong.

My body quickly adapted and I was able to increase my mileage until I could go for a 16-mile run or a 112-mile bike ride like it was "just another workout." It was amazing to see how the body adapts to demands and how far you can push yourself.

Unfortunately, this was also exactly why I didn't lose much fat — my body was adapting to what I was doing. My goal was to get my body super-efficient at running 20 miles and riding a bike for 100 miles, so when it came time for my race, I'd be able to do it.

However, the more your body adapts the fewer calories you burn. So, I was doing more and more exercise without burning as many calories, and therefore I wasn't losing any fat.

But They Call It The "Fat Burning Zone"

During a steady-state workout (when you move at the same pace for a certain amount of time), your body does burn a higher percentage of calories from fat. This is where that "fat burning zone" myth comes from. On the surface, it sounds like you're burning more fat calories.
excercise chart

The outdated chart and categories that people still, unfortunately, rely on.

There are two big problems with this.

1: As I explained earlier, you burn fewer total calories as your body adapts. So even if you're burning a higher percentage of fat, you aren't burning as many calories overall. It's like winning 80% of a Lotto jackpot. It sounds good until you realize that the jackpot is just fifty bucks.

2: Your body actually becomes efficient at storing fat. Since you're now burning fat as your primary source of fuel, your body adapts and becomes very good at storing fat. Blame it on a dumb self-preservation mechanism built into the body's operating system.

374 Hours of Training = 5 Pounds Lost

In seven months of training, I calculated that I worked out for 374 hours — that's an average of over thirteen hours a week! If I burned just ten calories a minute, it adds up to 224,400 calories. Doing the math (at 3,500 calories per pound), 224,400 calories should equal sixty four pounds lost!

Needless to say, I did not lose 64 pounds. Over those seven months, training an average thirteen to fourteen hours a week, I lost all of five pounds. That... was... it.

Now, we've heard many of the fitness experts tell us that, "steady-state aerobics is not effective for fat loss," and we've read about it in articles, and we've heard the scientific research that interval training is more effective.

But, still, I thought it would've been more effective than this! A lousy five pounds after doing 374 hours of training, while keeping tabs on what I'm eating! It's enough to make a girl give up the gym and take refuge in a box of Krispy Kremes.

Well, almost.
krispy kreme

What more could we ask for? Maybe some common sense?

Fortunately, I now have first-hand experience that steady-state aerobics is absolutely, completely, utterly ineffective for fat loss. After working my way up to twenty training hours a week, I can tell you that long, steady-state endurance is not the answer for a defined, lean physique and it's a waste of time if your goal is fat loss.

It's only the answer if your goal is to complete an endurance event.

Learn to Love Intensity, Not Duration

Let's review some of the research:

• December 2006, Canadian researchers reported that just two weeks of interval training boosted women's ability to burn fat during exercise by 36%.

• In January 2007, a six-month study was published showing that adding aerobic exercise had no additional effect on body composition, over diet alone.

• In June of 2007, a twelve-month study was published which had the subjects doing six hours of aerobic exercise per week, training six days a week, for one year. The average weight loss was only three pounds for that one-year period.

• According to a British study, levels of Human Growth Hormone, which assists in building muscle and burning fat, skyrocketed 530% in subjects after just thirty seconds of sprinting as fast as they could on a stationary bike.

• Australian fitness researchers had eighteen women perform twenty minutes of interval training on a stationary bike — eight-seconds of sprinting followed by twelve seconds of recovery — throughout the workout, three days a week.

The women lost an average of five-and-a-half pounds over fifteen weeks, without dieting. Similar groups performing forty minutes of moderate cycling, three days a week, actuallygained a pound of fat over the same period. Two of the heavier women who did intervals dropped eighteen pounds.

• In a side-by-side comparison, researchers at McMaster University in Ontario measured fitness gains in eight interval exercisers — using twenty to thirty minute cycling workouts that included four to six thirty-second sprints — against eight volunteers who pedaled at a lower intensity for 90 to 120 minutes.

After two weeks, the interval group was every bit as fit as those who worked out three to four times as long.

Undoing the Aerobic Damage

After completing my Ironman, I made fat loss my primary goal for eight weeks. I eliminated all steady-state endurance exercise. No running, biking, swimming, or anything else in the steady-state.

My workouts consisted of high intensity for short bursts, whether it was with weights or doing a metabolic interval session. I lifted weights three days a week, and I performed interval-training workouts on the other days.

I made sure the interval workouts weren't on a treadmill or a bike. I only used bodyweight-exercise circuits, along with kettlebell circuits, as my cardio workouts.
kettlebell

These metabolic cardio workouts would crank my heart rate up for two minutes, I'd recover, and then repeat. Doing these interval circuits, along with strength training, took up a total of five to six hours a week, nothing like the twenty to thirty hours of Ironman training!

What happened? Like magic, my abs came back!

I dropped fifteen pounds of fat in an eight-week period and my body returned to being strong, defined, and lean. I no longer looked like a flabby endurance athlete, and I did it in a quarter of the time, compared to the aerobic training.
nice abs

Rumor has it that Justin Timberlake wrote a hit song after seeing this photo.

It Works, But Why?

One reason intervals are more effective is that they target more of your muscle. During endurance exercise, you use a lot of slow-twitch muscle fibers and too few fast-twitch muscle fibers. It's those fast-twitch muscle fibers that give you firm muscles and fast-tracked results.

Now don't get me wrong, I still enjoy heading out for a run or a bike ride occasionally, but I don't do it for fat loss. I do it because I enjoy it. Think about it. If you do a thirty minute walk at a steady-state, moderate pace, you'll shed about 150 calories.

If you mixed in eight thirty-second sprints, you'll burn closer to 200 calories. But the biggest factor is that after an interval session, your metabolism can stay elevated for a full day and you'll end up burning two to three times the total calories you'd expect to burn from lower intensity exercise.

Like that's not enough, intervals can also help to reverse the aging process. Fast-twitch fibers are the first to go when we age, largely because neurons stop communicating with them. Research has shown that you can increase neuron firing rates after just one week of training. With more muscles firing, you have more energy for life.
pull ups

It is time to bury the myth of using long, slow steady-state cardio to burn up fat, for good. No more spending hours and hours on a treadmill, elliptical, or bike. I've worked with many figure competitors to get them lean and defined using interval-style workouts, with a full-body strength training routine, and they've had great success.

R.I.P. Aerobics

Get off the treadmill, stop spinning your wheels, and push yourself in the gym if you want to lose some serious fat. Take it from me, I finally learned first hand. It's time to put the last nail in the coffin of using aerobics for fat loss, bury it for good, and do some high intensity, interval dancing on its overdue grave.

I am trying to annoy all those who check my blog by posting a bunch of different posts ;) is it working? I haven't posted in a while so I have earned it...But anyways...I found this recipe today...I WANT I WANT!

Oh and btw...insanity is going well...I just finished my third week...I lost 1.6 lbs the first week and 1.8 the second...not losing too fast which I suppose is healthy, but it is hard for me because I am used to losing it fast, but then as you know it always comes back one way or another.

The result.

I weighed myself this morning for the first time since before Christmas....the good news is that I am in a healthy weight range (finally), the bad news is I weigh 10 lbs more than I thought I did based on how my clothes are fitting....I guess this isn't necessarily bad news...it could be good news in the sense that P90x must have transformed me into a muscley little person ;)....that would be nice....

Not much to report.

This month has been pretty uneventful I have decided. I mean I have done things I guess, but not a lot to report...Andy and I are seeing each other every weekend whether I go to Idaho or he comes to Utah. Every time he comes to Utah we hang out with our awesome Cousins...and the last time I went to Idaho we went hiking and got sun burnt and then were sore for a few days...My allergies suck...I broke out in hives on Saturday...and as usual have no idea why...I still have them...although I have been upping my Allertec dosage to get rid up them...I hate waking up in the middle of the night because I am itchy.

So far I have really sucked on my church and temple goals this month...I am planning on taking Friday off and maybe I will be able to go to the temple then....I love my husband, but he sure does throw a wrench into my monthly goals ;) religiously speaking that is...

I can't believe we finally go to Vegas this Friday!!!! I sure do need the break from work. I have been so agitated lately.

What else....hmm...I haven't had sweets for 10 days in a row now...yay...yes I did indeed do the master cleanse...this is my last day...the only issues I have had really is dealing with my allergies...I wasn't hungry very often which is nice...and my hypoglycemia never seemed to peak it's ugly head either...I actually like the way I have felt on it and think I might do it again...actually I am pretty sure I will....It is a nice way to just press the start over button on my eating habits so that I can start fresh without all of my horrible junk food cravings. Although I wouldn't recommend this for everyone...it is a very extreme diet choice and you have to be willing to completely change your diet after.

Getting excited!

I can't believe my Las Vegas vacation is almost here! In just under 2 weeks I will be headin' down with my sweet heart for our first time to actually be in Las Vegas. We are trying to get swim suit ready as this will be our first exposure to swim suit season....We went hiking on Saturday for 2.5 hours for exercise and to get some sun...we are both burnt at the moment...and I was sore for 2 whole days after hiking...actually I am still a little sore...I am working on detoxing my body to overcome my addiction to sweets and junk in general and, hopefully to get rid of allergies and also to lose a few lbs to feel better about myself. My sis and I are doing this together...she got me on this bandwagon and I am doing it partially as morale support. Andy is currently taking his last 5 credits of school!!!!!! Yippee!!!! Please pray that no surprises pop up and that he graduates...please....I don't think either of us can handle this anymore...Also, it looks like I am going to need to find a place to live by June 15th.....if anyone has any ideas of housing in the Salt Lake area please let me know....

Thanks.

I appreciate your concern to the previous post...the reason I am interested in the Master cleanse is because I have pretty severe allergies and stomach issues....and I am willing to try cheap homeopathic means to get rid of them or make them better before I resort to expensive medical means....I do have a history of eating disorders and was skeptical about this "cleanse" too...still am a little actually...however, the people who do this get about 1200 or more calories a day on it...I eat roughly 1200 cals a day....I know this because I have been keeping a detailed food journal consistently since June of 2009...and also a lot of people have found help for their conditions through this....I figure it is only costing me grocery money to try it so why not give it a shot...if it doesn't work...all I have wasted is 10 days and some grocery money that would have been spent regardless....anyways....I have been reading up on Detoxing and healthier living in general because I really want to change my eating habits....because being healthy and in the right weight range is mainly due to diet....I came across something really neat....I think it's neat anyways....Did you know that there are dietary guidelines based on your blood type? I just found this out...too bad I don't know my blood type right now....anyways I thought that knowledge was pretty fabulous and so I did a quick search online and found this....check it out...let me know what you think

Also random piece of info I found fascinating: the pancreas is designed to handle, in a lifetime, the amount of sugar that most Americans consume in a single month.
