Weekend in Pocatello
On the night of October 25th-after The Office- Andy and I drove up to Pocatello. You see- since we transfered to BYU- hardly any of his credits count towards graduation and we needed to get a bunch of syllabi so that Andy can start dreaming of graduating with his bachelors in the near future. So that next day- Friday- I reunited with some old friends- Georgia, Anne, and Ashly- while Andy took care of school and went and visited his brother in Blackfoot. I also found a friend I had lost track of- Heather Winegar and got to see her 3 month old baby boy Dallen. What a gorgeous baby!
I actually remembered to get a picture of them- unlike Georgia, Ann and Ashly. Later that day- my sister Tam took me costume shopping where we decided that I would be Daphne and Andy would be Fred from Scooby Doo. Tam and I got all garbed out in our costumes- her as Marilyn Monroe
- and we went out to eat to Wingers with my mom and lil sis Neisha
- and I was finally able to give her her birthday present- Dora the Explorer books!
She was quite excited. Afterwards, Tam and I went to the Institute Halloween party- where I ran into a bunch of old friends- like Ben Murray(dressed as a Dear John letter)
and also got to meet Alicia Bowman's fiancee Blake (Deb and Napolean from Napolean Dynamite).
The party kind of stunk- but Tam won the look-alike contest for Marilyn Monroe and gave me her prize- a gift card to Cold Stone Creamery- Just what I need. Later we fell asleep watching scary movies. The next day- Saturday- Andy and I went to another Halloween party hosted by our dear friends Greg/Baltus and Tamara.
We had to bring candy for the pinata, dessert( I baked spider cookies which no one ended up eating and I threw away because they fell apart and peanut butter cookies with candies on top) and a carved pumpkin.
Our pumpkin was a kitty- I thought it was cute- although it did not win any prizes. Then we got in our costumes-
I think we make great cartoon characters- really. The party was a blast- there was lots of decorations, food and games. Greg and Tamara really went all out- no expense spared.
(This is a picture of Greg dressed up as those who shall not be named from the Village attacking me because people are color blind and think pink and red are the same thing) We had a great time- this Halloween has already been ten times better than last year's!
(here is Andy with Rob Zombie- Greg's little brother- although I have no idea who he is supposed to be)
(here is Andy trying to be a groovy version of Baltus from the Sleepy Hollow)
